Frank O’Hara response

Is O’Hara a personal poet? Does he create intimacy with the reader? Respond to the self who writes the poems.

I think he creates intimacy because it feels like I’m reading his thoughts. He does not sound formal, and the sentences run-on like I’m listening to someone ramble about an idea they had in their head, and then they stop and say, “sorry, what was I saying?” It’s intriguing like I’m reading something most people won’t get to hear.
