Another Step in the Process

My goals in this prototype was to make the book more colorful, and overall try to make the book more aeshtetically pleasing. In order to accomplish this, I attempted to brighten up some of the pages using colored pencils, I colored in the dogs and outlined some of the text using colored pencils. Another goal was to add to the final pages a more exciting ending. The inclusion of color accomplished my goals of improving the book aesthetically, but I was not yet able to fulfill the goal of adding a more definitive ending. A more interesting ending has not yet come to me, so I won’t rush it. I still overall want to fill out the book with a lot more color which is what I will attempt to do with the next prototype. Things I wasn’t able to do included utilizing real life pictures of my dogs which I will work on for my next prototype. Also, something I wanted to do was  fill out the pages with more text and add to the plot a little bit. So, for the next prototype I will most likely take the base of my simple story of two dogs meeting but add more dimensions to it.  What I learned from the process is that a little bit of color can add a much prettier aesthetic, and it livens up the book.
